The archers recording with Shelby, Chris and Jade. In this exercise we did a radio show where we spoke as if we were the characters on the script

Narrative Structure

For there to be a narrative structure, there needs to be a story- this is what the film/tv/radio is about. The narrative- this is how you decide to tell the story. The big difference between a story and narrative is that, a narrative's ending allows the audienve to think more about

3 ACT STRUCTURE:

1. Equilibrium
2. Disequilibrium
3. New Equilibrium

CLASSIC HOLLYWOOD NARRATIVE STRUCTURE:

1. Exposition
2. Development
3. Complications
4. Climax
5. Resolution

This would be a linear narrative structure that the audience would expect to see in a film. What I mean by linear - is when the film/t.v./radio is in chronological order. However Im not saying all films are linear, you do have non linear films- this is where there is multiple stories going on not in chronological order e.g Pulp Fiction (Tarantino 1995). Below you will see Pulp Fiction in chronological order along side the other narratives playing out at the same time.

Rough Cut Feedback

What I took into account after my feedback:

Although, I my rough cut was incomplete, it genrally got positive feedback
- Liked the different environments footage was taken in especially in the car
- You could hear the subject talking clearly
- Subject was encaging
- Experiment putting background music
- Think of transitions between the different subjects
- Need more cutaways

Script Draft

My first draft of the script.  So I only wrote the text what the interviewer was going to say because I wanted the response of interviewee to be spontaneous and see where the story leads.

Documentary draft from Christen Saptou
I got a little feedback from my script draft that was to include details of each character the setting and further more on the range of shots.

One of the other optional feedback I received was to keep the story line simple and only hear it from the couple side.
